Key Responsibilities

As a Cargo Operations Agent, you will lead a team in various cargo handling processes, ensuring operations run efficiently and meet industry safety standards. Your main responsibilities include:

• Cargo Handling and Processing: Overseeing the proper handling of cargo, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Conducting safety briefings to maintain a secure work environment.
• Inspection and Verification: Checking cargo at different handling stages, verifying shipment details, and updating records in SkyChain, Emirates’ cargo tracking system, to provide real-time tracking for customers.
• Coordination with Authorities: Collaborating with customs, health, and police authorities to ensure the smooth clearance and transportation of shipments.
• Compliance with Safety Standards: Ensuring that hazardous goods comply with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and overseeing the safe handling of temperature-sensitive cargo, following EU Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
• Planning and Monitoring: Managing the loading and unloading of cargo, optimizing space in Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and aircraft holds to maximize efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Monitoring cargo delivery from aircraft to warehouse, ensuring timelines are met, and identifying areas for service improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• High School Certificate (12 years of schooling) or a Diploma in a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in Logistics and Cargo operations
• Strong IT and computer literacy skills
• Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
• Basic safety awareness and customer service skills
• Strong planning, organizing, and coordination abilities
